Therapeutic Group Homes
There are three group homes: Main Street House (MSH), High Street House (HSH) and Gray Farm House (GFH). Each has intensive staff levels and services provided within a 24/7 home-like milieu. The CT Department of Children and Families’ Behavioral Health Services Division refers youth from higher levels of care settings to Main Street House and Gray Farm House to receive specialized clinical services and support. The Department of Children and Families’ Juvenile Services Division refers teenage girls from higher levels of care facilities to High Street House to learn new skills and receive individualized services that help each girl transition back to their families and communities. Our therapeutic group homes provides trauma-informed services.
Each of the three therapeutic group homes provides treatment services by a professional staff consisting of: full-time Program Director, a full-time master’s level clinician, part-time clinical consultant, half-time registered nurse, part-time psychiatrist, two full-time residential supervisors, youth coaches, and residential assistants. Education is a major emphasis of all our programs
Main Street House
This therapeutic group home is located in the small, coastal village of Noank, Connecticut in the midst of Noank village, a tranquil setting supplements the culture of this therapeutic program.
Main Street House has five bedrooms which afford each resident her own room. The young women in this program, ages 14 to 18 attend local schools or clinical day school classes.
High Street House
Located in the beautiful seaside town and historic district of Mystic, CT, High Street House is a spacious old Greek Revival home that provides therapeutic services for six young women, ages 14-18, who are transitioning back to their families from more secure facilities. Unlike the other two therapeutic group homes, family therapy is an important service provision that aims to pave the way for our residents to achieve successful reunification.
Referrals to this six-bed program come from CT Department of Children and Family’s Juvenile Service Bureau/Parole Division.
Gray Farm House
Opened in February of 2006, this therapeutic group home is located on four wooded acres in a rural section of Ledyard, CT. The program services young women ages 14-18. The property provides plenty of space for outdoor sports and recreation as well as for quiet time outdoors that the residents need from time to time.
